Andrew (Dad's) Glazed Ham

This recipe was extra special because my dad does not eat pork but every Easter he would still head in the kitchen with his apron on and make the sweetest, slightly tangy ham that would make you wish he would create this meal more often. For most of my teenage years he would not let me in the kitchen to watch him. As I became an adult he would let me in the kitchen just as long as I watched and didn't ask to many questions.

Instructions
Step 1
Combine brown sugar and juice in bowl and mix until mixture is smooth. (You can use pineapple juice also)
Step 2
Place the ham in baking pan fat side down, which means round side up. Pour half the mixture over ham I always put gloves on and massage some sugar on ham as well now cover loosely with foil.
Step 3
Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees
Step 4
Place pan in oven and cook for 2 hours
Step 5
At exactly 2 hours remove from oven and take a big spoon and take some of the syrup from the bottom of pan and pour over ham. Place a few of the slices of oranges on top of ham.
Step 6
Bake for another 30 minutes uncovered at 350 degrees so that the ham can begin to form a light crisp on top which to me is always the best part.
Step 7
Once removed from oven take the remaining orange slices on top to make it look pretty.
