For the cake

2 sticksunsalted butter

1 cupwater

4 Tbsunsweetened cocoa powder

2 cupssugar

2 cupsall purpose flour

½ tspsalt

3eggs

½ cupsour cream

1 tspbaking soda
For the frosting
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°, grease a large cookie sheet with sides, or a 9x13 baking dish. The larger the dish, the thinner the cake will be.


Step 2
In a sauce pan add butter, water & cocoa, bring to a boil. Take it off the heat and Pour into large mixing bowl.


Step 3
In a small bowl mix sugar, flour & salt.

Gradually add dry

mixture to chocolate, beat well.
Step 6
add 3 eggs, sour cream & baking soda.
Step 7
Pour into the dish and Bake for 20 minutes.


Step 8
Make the frosting while the cake is in the oven. Cake should be frosted as soon as it is removed from the oven.
Step 9
Melt butter in saucepan. Add cocoa & milk, heat just until mixture starts to bubble.

Step 10
Remove from heat. Gradually beat in powdered sugar & then vanilla. Spread on cake as soon as it is removed from oven and let cool before slicing
