Instructions

Step 1
Wear gloves as the walnuts will stain your hands.
Step 2
Quarter the walnuts. It is said that the walnuts are best if picked off the tree on the 7th of July at 7 in the morning :)
Step 3
Put the walnuts in a jar and pour over the schnapps.
Step 4
Shake the concoction at least once a week.
Step 5
Wait 4-6 months and filter the schnapps. Lots of colourful changes happen so put it somewhere you can see.
Step 6
When done you will have walnut schnapps essence. Mix this in the ratio of 1 part schnapps to 5-6 part vodka/clear schnapps.
Step 7
If stored for more than 4 years try it without thinning it as the taste should be so refined you can drink it on its own.
Step 8
The schnapps will get better and better and reaches its peak around 10 years.
