Instructions

Step 1
Cook raisins in water until plump. Drain, reserving 1 cup, may add additional if needed to make 1 cup. While raisins are cooling, cream butter and sugar. Add in eggs one at a time beating well. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix dry ingredients and water alternately into creamed butter mixture. Add raisins and vanilla, stir well. Spread dough out onto a lightly greased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until dough sprigs back when touched lightly. As soon as you take this from the oven pour over thin powder sugar glaze and cut into bars.
