Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 F and grease and line an 8x8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and mashed banana.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
Step 4
Sift the flour mixture into the bowl with the wet ingredients, then gently fold them together until just combined.
Step 5
Add the chocolate chips and fold the batter again.
Step 6
Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until a skewer poked into the center of the brownies comes out with no wet batter (a few moist crumbs are okay).
Step 7
Leave the brownies in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 8
Slice into 12 bars and serve.
