Step 1
Chop cabbage and turnips
Step 2
Combine water and salt and pour over cabbage and turnips. Let sit overnight

Next day, chop scallions, garlic, ginger.

Drain and reserve brine from cabbage.
Step 5
Toss all veggies together and add gochugaru. Massage together with gloved hands
Step 6
Pack into jar tightly. Make sure cabbage is covered completely by brine. Cover with lid loosely or ziplock bag filled with water or fermentation lids. Leave at room temperature to ferment several days until properly fermented and then move to refrigerator.
