Chicken With Lemon Garlic & Butter Sauce.

This is a classic French & simple dish made up of sauteed chicken in a basic lemon garlic sauce. Serve it over Mashed Potato, pasta or rice for a quick dinner.

Step 1
Cut the chicken into desired thickness strips, place the flour in a shallow dish, season with oregano, salt and pepper, cover the chicken in the flour, shaking off the excess and set aside.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat, add half of the crushed garlic, then add the chicken, cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm.
Step 3
Add the chicken stock, lemon juice and balance of the crushed garlic to the skillet, increase the heat to medium-high and cook, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has been reduced by half.
Step 4
Return the chicken to the skillet, stir to coat in the liquid and cook until it is cooked through, sprinkle the lemon zest and adjust the seasoning as needed.
Step 5
Sprinkle with chopped parsley, thyme, capers or fresh herb you desire.
Step 6
Serve hot with grilled or mashed potato, rice or pasta.
