Chocolate Chip Biscotti
Make sure walnuts are cool before adding chocolate chips.
Make sure the logs are totally cool before slicing or they will crumble.

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350º. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
Toast nuts on top of stove in a small frying pan for about 7 minutes. Watch carefully as the can burn.
Step 3
Chop nuts and chocolate chips together in food processor. Pulse about 4-5 times.
Step 4
In the work bowl of electric mixer cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Beat in vanilla extract.
Step 5
On a sheet of waxed paper, sift together baking powder, salt, cinnamon and flour. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and beat to combine. Add chopped nuts and chocolate chips.
Step 6
Divide dough in half. Form 2 logs about 1/2" high, 12" log and 1 1/2" wide. Arrange on baking sheet about 2" apart. Bake 25-30 minutes or until logs feel firm to the touch.
Step 7
Cool 10-15 minutes. Slice logs on diagonal about 1/2" thick. Place slices back in oven for 10 minutes. Remove and cool on rack. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
