Muhammara - Turkish Red Pepper and Walnut Dip

Super delicious and rich Turkish red pepper dip. Smoky from the charred red bell peppers, nutty and creamy from the tahini and walnuts. Glossy and rich from the olive oil, sweet and tangy from the pomegranate molasses. Serve with warm naan bread and be hold one of the greatest dips of all time!

Instructions

For the peppers

Step 1
1. Char 4 large bell peppers until black

2. Place in bowl and cover with plastic wrap and allow to steam for 10 mins

3. Remove red bell peppers from bowl and peel skin

4. Add to your food processor

For the breadcrumbs

1. Toast 1/4 cup of plain breadcrumbs in a dry pan until brown

2. Add to food processor

For the walnuts

1. Toast 1/2 cup raw chopped walnuts in a fry pan until lightly toasted

2. Add to food processor

For the sauces/spices

1. Add the following to your food processor

2. 3 tbs Tahini paste

3. 2 tbs pomegranate molasses

4. 1/4 cup olive oil

5. 1/2 lemon squeezed

6. 1 tbs cumin

7. 1 tbs sweet paprika

8. Salt and Pepper to taste

9. Optional 1 tbs chilli flakes

For garnishing

1. You can add some lemon wedges

2. Some sumac and cumin over the top

3. A few walnuts placed on top

4. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil
