Instructions
Step 1
Boil pasta per packet, drain once cooked and leave aside
Step 2
Warm milk in pan, take off heat before boiling and pour into measuring jug
Step 3
Melt butter in pan on medium heat
Step 4
Add flour to melted butter and beat until it forms a ball (roux). Let roux cook for 2-3 minutes to cook off flour
Step 5
Slowly add milk in small amounts, beat milk into roux until there is no liquid left in the pan
Step 6
Once all milk is added sauce should be smooth
Step 7
Season sauce and add grated cheddar, stir until cheddar melted
Step 8
Mix with pasta, serve as is or add toppings or more cheese and place under grill until golden
