Instructions

Step 1
Cook the pasta according to the pack instructions, adding the broccoli florets to the pan halfway through, then drain
Step 2
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small pan
Step 3
Stir in the flour and cook for 2 mins
Step 4
Remove the pan from the heat and gradually add the milk, a little at a time, stirring well until fully incorporated before each addition
Step 5
Put the pan back on the heat and cook, stirring, until the sauce has thickened and been bubbling for 2 mins
Step 6
Stir in the cheese and season with black pepper
Step 7
Preheat the grill to medium-high
Step 8
Stir the cheesy sauce through the pasta and broccoli, then spoon into a 1.4 litre baking dish
Step 9
Grill for 4-5 mins, until golden, then serve
