¼ cupolive oil

2limes

1lemon juiced

¼ cupwater

1 teaspoonsugar

2 ½ teaspoonskosher salt

1 teaspooncumin

2 teaspoonground cumin

2 teaspoonsgarlic
generous, minced

2 teaspoonssmoked paprika

1 teaspoononion powder

2 tablespoonschili powder
depending on the heat level of your chili powder

1 teaspoonpepper

Chicken
or Steak, increase marinade measurements if meat doesn’t submerge completely

2bell peppers

3jalapenos

Step 1
Mix marinade ingredients
Step 2
If using steak cut into strips, chicken can be left whole, your choice.
Step 3
Cut and de-seed peppers
Step 4
Add peppers and meat to marinade. Can be same container or separate. Let’s marinate for 1 hour minimum
Step 5
Add to grill or skillet (not cast iron)
Step 6
Serve with guac, salsa, etc. I prefer with verde salsa, guac and hot sauce.
