Recipe for ginger bread that had to do some reworking to because the molasses that was in my mother's pantry had expired 14years prior and couldn't get some due to being Christmas!

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Line a 9" square pan with parchment
Step 2
In a small pot put milk and butter over low heat and melt butter. Add brown sugar and stir well. Remove from heat.

In a large bowl mix together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices,
Step 4
When milk mixture is cooled off, add egg and mix together well.
Step 5
Pour milk mixture into the flour mixture and combine well making sure all is incorporated
Step 6
Pour into pan, bake for approximately 35 min
