Ingredients

¾ cupall-purpose flour

½ cupsugar

½ cupunsweetened cocoa powder

1 ½ teaspoonsbaking powder

⅔ cupmilk

2 tablespoonsvegetable oil

1 teaspoonvanilla extract

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2
In a 2 qt casserole dish, combine with a whisk flour, white sugar, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
Step 3
Add milk and oil, and vanilla. Stir until well mixed.
Step 4
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cocoa powder and chocolate chips. Sprinkle over cake batter. DO NOT STIR.
Step 5
Pour very hot water over.
Step 6
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top looks cooked.
Step 7
Allow this dessert to rest at least 10-15 minutes after baking so the pudding layer has a chance to set up a bit.
Step 8
Serve warm. Serve with ice cream if desired

Keep pudding cake in a sealed container at room temperature
