Instructions

Step 1
Preheat an electric pressure cooker using the SAUTÉ function.
Step 2
When the display panel reads HOT, add the olive oil and then the onion. Cook, stirring periodically, for 3 minutes. Add the ground beef and garlic and cook, stirring and crumbling the beef, until it is browned, about 5 minutes.
Step 3
While the meat is browning, combine 3 cups water, the carrot, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper in a high-powered blender. Blend on high until everything is smooth, about 30 seconds.
Step 4
When the cooker beeps to let you know it’s finished, switch the vent valve from the SEALING to the VENTING position, administering a quick release. Use caution while the steam escapes—it’s hot.
Step 5
Add the arrowroot flour and stir until the sauce thickens. Serve warm.
