Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter in large heavy pot
Step 2
Add brown sugar and salt, mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Add corn syrup, , mix well and gradually add sweetened condensed milk, stirring constantly over medium heat until reaches 245 degrees, about 15 to 20 minutes
Step 4
Remove from heat and add vanilla
Step 5
Pour into 9 x 9 or 13 x 9 buttered pan and let cool before covering wirh chocolate if desired. Just melt a bag of milk chocolate or semi sweet chocolate chips with one teaspoon oil in the microwave at 30 second intervals until smooth and creamy.
