Instructions

Step 1
In a dry skillet over medium-high heat, toast the pecans, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, about 5 minutes.

Alternatively, preheat the oven or toaster oven to 350°F and toast the pecans on a rimmed baking sheet for 5 to 8 minutes.
Step 3
Set aside to cool.
Step 4
In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, pecans, pear, salt, and pepper.
Step 5
Drizzle the oil and vinegar over the lettuce mixture and toss until thoroughly combined.
Step 6
Sprinkle the goat cheese on top and serve.
