Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
Step 2
Peel 4 bananas, set them on a piece of baking paper.
Step 3
Put the four bananas into the oven, set the timer to 15 minutes. This allows your bananas to caramelise.

While you wait for your bananas to caramelise:

Into a bowl, add your flour, nutmeg powder, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and your chocolate chips. Mix it until combined.

In another bowl, melt your butter and afterwards add your sugar. Mix the sugar well into the butter.

After your bananas have caramelised:

Take them out of the oven and mash them with a fork in a bowl.
Step 9
Add the eggs into the mashed bananas and mix well.
Step 10
Add your mashed bananas and eggs into the flour bowl and whisk until combined.

Add your butter sugar into the bowl with flour and bananas. Mix well until combined.
Step 12
Pour your combined ingredients into a baking pan (I used 30cm x 10cm x 3cm)

Optional: sprinkle with chocolate chips and fresh banana slices

Bake for 45 minutes.

Note: baking time will vary between 45-60 minutes based on your baking tray measurements.
