Giant Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cookie

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190C/170C fan/gas mark 5.
Step 2
Put the butter into a mixing bowl and add the sugar and a good pinch of salt. Beat together until pale and fluffy. Add the egg and mix together. Add the peanut butter and mix until smooth.
Step 3
Sift the flour and baking powder into the bowl and mix together well. It should be claggy and thick.
Step 4
Add the chocolate and mix well. Transfer to a 23cm diameter, ovenproof frying pan. Flatten out into a huge cookie. It’s easiest to do this with clean hands.
Step 5
Bake for 18 minutes until firm at the sides and still gooey in the middle. Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 10 minutes before serving
