Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. 2. Beat in egg and the extracts.

3. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder.

4. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Add food coloring until desired color is reached.

5. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Roll balls into 2 TBSP of sugar until well coated. Place on greased cookie sheets.
Step 5
6. Bake 10-12 minutes in the preheated oven. Let stand on cookie sheet for two minutes (cookies will flatten/crinkle slightly). Remove to wire racks and cool completely.
