Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter in large pot on medium heat. Add onion, stir to translucent.
Step 2
Add tomato juice, tomatoes, and water.
Step 3
To combat acidity add up to 3 Tb sugar or honey (to taste).
Step 4
If preferred, for creamier texture, use immersion blender.
Step 5
Add chicken base/bouillon and black pepper. Bring to boil then turn off heat.
Step 6
Stir in evaporated milk or cream, basil, and parsley.
