Hearty kafta and Potato Stew

Hearty stew is a combination of onions, potatoes, peppers and kafta meat balls simmered in seasoned red tomato sauce. A quick meal that can be prepped in one pot!

Step 1
Kafta Meat Balls

In a bowl add the ground beef and mix it well with 3 tablespoons olive oil, seven spices, parsley and salt. Meanwhile heat a large skillet on high heat with generously sprayed cooking oil spray or olive oil.
Step 3
Form the seasoned kafta meat into 2 inch size balls. Sear the meat balls for 1 minute on each side or until browned. They will remain raw on the inside and that is ok, they will cook when they boil in with the stew. Remove using a spoon. Set aside or place into the pot of saute’ed veggies if ready.
Stew
Step 4
To a large pot add olive oil on medium heat. Saute' the cubed potatoes for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Add in the onions and peppers and continue to saute' for another 5-7 minutes.
Step 5
Add in the KAFTA MEAT BALLS, cubed tomatoes, the tomato paste, salt, seven spices and then add water until all the ingredients are covered. Allow to come to a boil then place on medium heat for 15-20 minutes. Taste and adjust the salt to your liking. Enjoy with warm rice~
