Fillet steak with wild mushrooms

Instructions

Step 1
Ensure Steak is at room temperature. Take it out of the fridge 1h before cooking
Step 2
Pre heat oven to 180 c
Step 3
Crush the garlic cloves, remove skin and combine the thyme and rosemary, leaving the sprigs intact
Step 4
Chop the mushrooms, shallots and fry them together with 1 garlic clove until the mushrooms are brown
Step 5
Remove the mushroom mix and set aside in a bowl
Step 6
Heat rest of the butter in the skillet and put in the steaks once the butter is brown, as well as one of the garlic cloves
Step 7
Baste the steaks with the thyme, rosemary and garlic. Fry for about 3 minutes on each side
Step 8
Chop the chives, combine the mushroom mix with Philadelphia and chives.
Step 9
Heat 10g of butter in an oven proof skillet
Step 10
Put the mushroom mix on top of the steaks, and grate the parmesan cheese on top
Step 11
Put in the oven for 5-10 min dependent on how you like your steaks cooked
Step 12
Remove from oven, let rest for 5 min, serve and enjoy!
