Instructions
Step 1
Melt chocolate over boiling water on stove.
Step 2
Beat egg whites until stiff peaked.
Step 3
Add sugar and butter to melted chocolate over stove and continue to melt until combined.
Step 4
Once combined, remove from heat and add flour, vanilla, and egg yolks, stir.
Step 5
Fold egg whites into the chocolate mixture until combined.
Step 6
Separate into two cake pans that have been pregreased.
Step 7
Bake at 350 F for 35 minutes, remove from oven and cool completely.
Step 8
Combine second half of chocolate with heavy whipping cream, and use as icing on the cake. Put icing on one cake, add the top cake and then icing the rest of the way.
