¼ teaspoonsalt

1 cupsour cream

½ cupwalnuts

Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Grease a 9 inch spring form pan.

Step 2
In a bowl, combine walnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside. This is the topping.

Step 3
Place flour in a small bowl and cut in butter until mixture resembles course crumbs. Stir in 3/4 cup of topping mixture and set aside for later use.

Step 4
In a small bowl, toss the pear slices with the lemon juice and set aside.

Step 5
In a small bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Use a whisk and mix well.

Step 6
In a small mixing bowl, mix the butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Slowly add the flour mixture and sour cream to the batter.

Step 7
Spread 1/2 the batter into the spring form pan. Next sprinkle the filling mixture over the batter in the spring form pan. Now spread the pear slices over the batter in the spring form pan. Pour and spread the rest of the batter over the pears and sprinkle with remaining topping mixture.

Step 8
Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen. Remove the sides of the pan. Cool for 1 hour before cutting.
