Step 1
Add the oil to a medium-small size pan, let it heat up until you can feel the heat going out of it, but not so hot to burn (the oil itself or the ingredients)

Add the onion cut into small cubes, or to the size, format you like the best

When the onion is translucid add the garlic in slices or little cubes, let it lightly brown

Add the rice (washed or clean), let it fry lightly for 30 seconds, mix it with a wooden spoon

Add the water (always keeping the ratio 2 parts of water for 1 of rice)

Let the water boil, and reduce the fire or power to middle-high
Step 7
If you are using any kind of electric stove, you want to turn off the power as soon as the water starts to dry (when it lowers to rice level) and cover the rice with the proper lid
Step 8
If you are using fire, you can also reduce the fire to medium-low and cover the rice, pay attention to turn the rice off as soon as you here the sound of it frying-dry at the bottom
Step 9
Let the rice rest for about 5-10 minutes covered to steam it off and finish cooking, and it is ready to serve!
