This is a deep dish pizza dough that works great in pans or directly on a pizza stone. Makes enough for one medium-large pizza.

Instructions

For pan: preheat oven to 425 degrees For pizza stone: preheat pizza stone for 1 hour at 500 degrees

Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Beat vigorously for about 20 strokes. Lower speed and knead until all the flower is incorporated. Let rest 5 minutes.

For pan: Press prepared dough evenly on bottom and sides of greased 9x13 pan. Cover with desired toppings. Cook for 20-25 minutes.

For pizza stone: Stretch out the dough into desired size, adding a splash of flour at a time until no longer sticky. Sprinkle flour and/or cornmeal on pizza peal to prevent sticking. Place stretched dough on the peel and add desired toppings. Cook directly on pizza stone for 10-15 minutes.
