Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 F
Step 2
Grease a 8-9" round cake pan (with butter) thoroughly. Cut parchment paper larger than the pan and butter one side of it. Place parchment paper into the pan, butter side up, and press carefully into the shape of the pan completely with no large bubbles or creases. Make sure the paper comes up over the side walls by a few inches.
Step 3
Mix up the SOFTENED cream cheese in a bowl with a wooden spoon or spatula (or electric mixer) until smooth and add dry ingredients, mixing between.
Step 4
Add vanilla and then eggs one at a time, mixing well with a WHISK or ELECTRIC MIXER in between each egg. Add heavy cream after all eggs are totally incorporated.
Step 5
Pour batter into lined pan and tap on counter to release bubbles.
Step 6
Bake at 400 F. for 50 to 55 minutes, or until puffed and well browned. For a little more color, you can crank the oven up to 425 or 450 F. for the last 10 minutes or so.
Step 7
Put in fridge to chill thoroughly before serving. You can remove entire thing from pan and place on serving dish.
