Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Step 2
Slice the apple into thin slices.
Step 3
Carefully slice the defrosted puff pastry into 12 squares.
Step 4
Place a dot of honey, about ½ teaspoon, on the lined tray. Top with 3-4 apple slices in a tightly layered pattern, allowing the honey to spread slightly underneath.
Step 5
Carefully place the puff pastry sheet over the top, gently pressing down on the edges to seal the edges. You want enough pressure so it is stuck to the baking paper, but not so much that it squashes or stretches the puff pastry.
Step 6
Brush the top with the beaten egg.
Step 7
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly for 10 to 15 minutes before turning over and enjoying.
