Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325
Step 2
In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar together for 5 minutes with an electric mixer
Step 3
Add orange zest, oil, vanilla, orange juice, and almond extract and bet until blended
Step 4
Sift flour and baking powder together and add to the sugar mixture beating well
Step 5
Fold in almonds
Step 6
Place in freezer for 30 mins until firm
Step 7
Divide dough in half. Shape each portion into a 5 x 8 inch log on greased baking sheet.
Step 8
Bake for 25 minutes. Cool dough logs on baking sheet for 5 minutes then transfer to wire racks to cool.
Step 9
Use a serrated knife and cut each log diagonally into 1/2 inch slices
Step 10
Place on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Turn over and bake for 10 more minutes.
Step 11
Make glaze (orange juice and powered sugar) and put over top.
