Instructions

Step 1
Melt your butter and add food coloring to it.
Step 2
Cut up the fillo dough into small pieces and add the butter to it

Shred the cheese and prepare to assemble the pie
Step 4
Place the dough on the bottom of your pan (about 60-70% of the dough) Press the dough down into the pan

Place the cheese and the table cream on the dough
Step 6
Place the remaining dough on top of the cheese

Cover the pan with foil and bake at 375°F for 30 minutes

While it's baking prepare simple syrup by boiling the sugar and water for 15 minutes

If you like flavor in your syrup, i recommend adding some cardamom and cinnamon while it boils, then when it's done add a splash of rosewater

Remove the pie from the oven and put the simple syrup over it

Place a larger pan on top of the pie and flip it over onto it once the syrup is done soaking

Garnish with crushed pistachios and enjoy hot!!
