Instructions

Step 1
Stir together the first 5 ingredients and ¼ tsp. salt.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and beat well.
Step 3
Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating well.
Step 4
Form 1-inch balls.
Step 5
Roll in granulated sugar, if desired.
Step 6
Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 7
Bake in a 375°F (190°C) oven about 10 minutes. Makes 48.

Special gluten free note:

Step 8
If you want to make these gluten free, substitute 2 cups wheat flour for 1 cup rice flour and 1 1/3 cups oat flour.

Special molasses note for Spain:

Step 9
Instead of molasses, use equal amounts of Jugo Concentrado de Caña de Azúcar.
