Step 1
1. In a large stock pot over medium-high heat, add your butter

2. Add your chopped onion and cook for about 3-4 minutes

3. Add your minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute

4. Add the flour and whisk until it turns golden in color, about 2 minutes

5. Pour your chicken stock, broccoli florets, carrots and seasonings into your stock pot

6. Bring everything to a boil, once boiling reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 15 minutes (constantly stirring to avoid sticking or burning)
Step 7
7. After the 15 minutes, Stir in the half and half, shredded cheddar cheese and simmer for 1-2 minutes
Step 8
*taste and adjust seasoning if needed*

Serve with garlic bread or in a delicious bread bowl 😊
