Step 1
In a medium saucepan, combine pork chops and water. Bring mixture to a simmer over medium low heat. Cover and simmer pork chop mixture for 15 minutes. Remove pork chops and pat dry with a paper towel. Be sure they are dry before continuing.

Step 2
Preheat grill to medium. Brush both sides of pork chops with 1/2 of the barbecue sauce. Place pork chops on grill rack. Grill 4 inches from heat, turning once and brushing with remaining barbecue sauce. Continue cooking until pork chops are tender, about 15 minutes.

Add onion rings to the grill during the last 10 minutes of cooking. Cook turning until softened.
