A very famous Tomato sauce or chutney which is served hot with little cubes of Barbequed beef on the streets of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
This is the authentic recipe taught by my mother who was a Tanzanian.

Instructions
Step 1
Roughly chop tomatoes and scotch bonnet peppers. Don't replace the peppers with any other kind of pepper or chilly you won't get the sane taste and aroma. Add about 1litre of water with salt to taste and boil the tomatoes untik the water is reduced to quarter. Then add 1 tbsp lemon juice and a pinch of sugar. Add a little tamarind juice or 1 tsp white vinegar. The chutney should be salty, sour, tangy and spicy.
