This was easily one of my favourite sandwiches so far. Crispy, spicy, delicious!

Ingredients
2 servings
Sauce

1 cupmayonnaise

2dill pickles
finely chopped

0.5lemon
squeezed

1 Tbsphot sauce

3 tspcapers
chopped

2 tsppaprika

1 Tbspmustard

1 TbspWorcestershire sauce

2garlic cloves
minced
Shrimp

2 tspkosher salt

2 tsppaprika

1 tspgarlic powder

1 tspcayenne pepper

1 tspblack pepper

1 kgxshrimp
raw medium, peeled

2 cupall purpose flour

1 cuppolenta

1 cupbuttermilk

3 Tbsphot sauce

1 litreVegetable oil
for frying

Instructions
Step 1
Begin with adding all of the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl and mix well.
Step 2
Then slice the tomatoes, pickles and shred the lettuce. Leave in the fridge whilst you prepare the shrimp.
Step 3
Add the spices in a bowl and mix well. Pour half over the shrimp and make sure they are evenly coated. Then in a separate bowl, pour in the buttermilk and hot sauce, mix well and add the shrimp.
Step 4
Finally, add the flour, polenta and the rest of the spices in a bowl and mix until well combined. Throw in the shrimp and shake well until they are coated thoroughly. Leave in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Step 5
Heat the oil to 180c/350f and fry the shrimp until golden brown and crispy.
Step 6
Serve in warm French bread and enjoy!
