KFC’s Honey BBQ wings

Anyone else loved the Honey BBQ wings from KFC back in the day? It was one of my favs! Here’s my take on the recipe.

Instructions

Step 1
In a medium saucepan, combine all the sauce ingredients. Stir until well combined. Bring sauce to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 2
Heat oil to 350 degrees.
Step 3
Season chicken with salt, garlic pepper seasoning, accent or MSG.
Step 4
In a large bowl, add flour and seasonings to the flour. Whisk well until combined.
Step 5
In a small bowl, add milk and 1 beaten egg.
Step 6
Add seasoned chicken to flour mixture, then into milk mixture and then back into flour mixture. Place on wire rack until all the chicken is breaded.
Step 7
Fry wings 9-11 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Step 8
Brush the entire wing with a light coating of the Honey BBQ sauce. Serve immediately and enjoy!
