Instructions
Step 1
To make the crust: melt the butter, add sugar and dissolve, add pretzels and mix. Press into the bottom of an 8x10 or larger pan and bake at 400 for 8 minutes. Watch so it doesn't burn.
Step 2
To make the middle layer: mix the sugar and cream cheese then fold in cool whip. Spread over cooled pretzel layer making sure to seal the the edges to protect the crust from the jello.
Step 3
To make the top layer: cut strawberries in half an place flat on middle layer. Mix jello and boiling water, stirring to dissolve. Add the cup of ice and cold water and mix. Place bowl in a bowl of ice or in the refrigerator and stir every 2-3 minutes until it starts to thicken. Pour over strawberries. Refrigerate until set.
