Instructions
Step 1
Add 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup sugar to stand mixer.


Step 2
Soften 1 stick of salted butter. Add to mixer. Mix until creamy.

Step 3
Add 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix until JUST combined.


Step 4
In a separate bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. SIFT together.



Step 5
Add to mixer and combine.
Step 6
Mix in 1 cup chocolate chips.

Step 7
Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes
Step 8
Bake @ 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. They'll come out pale and puffy. Allow to sit 30 minutes.
