Instructions

Step 1
Grate the paneer and knead pressing it down with your palm until smooth and turns into a ball. It takes around 5 mins to knead.
Step 2
Now heat a heavy bottom pan, add the paneer and condensed milk. Mix well, squashing it down with a silicon spatula. Cook for about a minute. Keep the gas on low to medium heat.
Step 3
Now add the milk powder and keep stirring.
Step 4
In a small bowl heat the milk with a pinch of saffron. And and that milk to the paneer mixture. Mix well and keep stirring.
Step 5
Once the mixture starts to leave the sides, add a tsp of cardamom powder and a tsp of ghee. Mix thoroughly.
Step 6
Switch off the flame and take the mixture out on plate. Cool it completely.
Step 7
Now add some yellow food colouring (optional) and knead well.
Step 8
Wrap the mixture in a cling film and chill in the fridge for about an hour or 20 mins in a freezer.
Step 9
Once the mixture has hardened, crumble it and knead again until smooth.
Step 10
Now divide the mixture into equal parts of 6 (if using a large penda press), top it with nuts and shape it with the penda press to desired design. If you don’t have a penda press, simply roll the divided mixture between your palms and press the nuts in the middle.
