In this versatile year-round recipe, you can use fresh or frozen berries of your choice. I have several similar recipes, but I think part of the richness in this particular recipe is due to food processing the nuts, oats, and other dry ingredients together.

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in an 8x8 inch pan.

Food process all dry ingredients together. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
Step 3
After butter is melted, pour it into the dry ingredients. Add extracts, milk, and maple syrup. Mix well.
Step 4
Pour all but 1 cup of mixture back into the baking dish.
Step 5
Add berries to top of mixture.
Step 6
Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of mixture over berries.
Step 7
Cover with foil and bake 45-50 minutes.
Step 8
Serve warm alone or with vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in refrigerator for up to 4 days.
