Homemade easy bbq sauce

Agree with others who say it’s too much vinegar.

This BBQ is more steak sauce than a thicker sweeter BBQ sauce. It’s got a vinegar kick.

Double everything but the vinegar

Extra honey or less vinegar Add Applewood smoke seasoning and chicken BBQ seasoning

It’s pretty tasty! I used my homemade ketchup which wasn’t as thick as the store bought stuff, so I added a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste.

Absolutely delicious! I will never buy BBQ sauce from the store again!

Quick and easy! I love this recipe. I find the flavours meld more if you let it sit overnight.

Awful. Tastes like catsup and Dijon mustard.

I added a little extra heat and some Worcestershire sauce (didn’t have enough soy). “We use what we have.”

1 serving sauce : 32 meatballs (4 meatballs per hot dog bun for meatball subs)

This is delicious. Subbed Yellow Mustard for Dijon because “we use what we have” and didn’t have beef bouillon which I suspect will take it to that next level but even without this is DELICIOUS. Simple to assemble and it tastes very light and clean. Planning to put it on pulled pork tonight.

Subbed Better Than Bouillon Chipotle for the beef bouillon and it added a little zest. Recommend for sure!

Great recipe! If you like your bbq sauce a bit more tangy just omit the honey or play around with measurements for maple syrup/honey. This was so easy and my family loved it on pulled pork.

Had to substitute some things and add a 1/4 cup more ketchup, but it is tasty

I'm out of Apple Cider Vinegar so used Red Wine Vinegar instead, and it was a great substitute! Marinated chicken breasts for half an hour or so and cooked in the air fryer until done (15-20 minutes). Serving with rice and veggies tomorrow but had to taste it! Seriously delicious and I imagine I'll just keep making this instead of buying!

Added extra maple syrup instead of honey - we use what we have. Added Worcestershire for smoky flavour

Quick easy, subbed in molasses for part of the honey to stretch my on-hand items. Definitely will make again

I will use white vinegar next time as it smells strongly of apple cider vinegar to me.

Second time making it, I used Smokey chipotle better then boullion instead of just beef bouillon and used hot chili honey from presidents choice. Amazing!

For the beef boullion would you just substitute some beef broth?

If I only have dark soy sauce, think that will work? Update: My kids loved it. We used it for BBQ chicken sandwiches.

This tasted exactly like store bought barbecue sauce!! I didn't have any honey, so I just used what I had and omitted it this time, and it was still delicious 😋
