Instructions
Step 1
1. separate the egg yolks and whites into two different medium bowls
Step 2
2. in the bowl with egg yolks, add salt and vanilla then mix well
Step 3
3. grab the bowl with the egg whites and the sugar, combine the sugar slowly with the egg whites while mixing with an electric mixer until white and fluffy
Step 4
4. in a medium bowl add dry ingredients, the flour, baking power, baking soda and sieve them into the bowl well
Step 5
5. now combine the egg yolk and egg white mixtures together with a spatula
Step 6
5. then combine the dry and wet ingredients together using a folding method with the spatula to mix well
Step 7
6. in a small bowl add milk and oil and use a whisk to mix them together, them pour in a bit of the cake mixture in the milk and oil mixture to make in thicker, when it’s all mixed up combine the mixture with the cake mixture using the folding method with a spatula

7. now add parchment paper in the cake tin then pour your cake batter in a cake tin and hit the tin against the counter to fill in holes/bubbles

8. now bake in the oven for 30-40mins at 5-6 gas mark

9. while the cake is baking it’s time to make the icing, add the whipped cream in a bowl with icing sugar then mix well with a spoon, using an electric mixture, mix till nice and fluffy and store in the fridge till needed

10. pre-cut whatever fruit u want e.g strawberries and store in fridge till needed

11. when the cake is baked, leave out to cool for 20-30 mins
Step 13
12. when the cake in cooled down, it’s time to decorate with the icing and fruits (optional) and then your done, enjoy!!! :)
