Instructions
Step 1
Cook onion in fat until tender and light brown.
Step 2
Combine egg and milk, add to biscuit mix and stir only until dry ingredients are just moistened.
Step 3
Add onion and half of cheese.
Step 4
Spread dough in greased 8x1½ inch round baking dish.
Step 5
Sprinkle top with remaining cheese and poppy seed; drizzle melted butter over all.
Step 6
Bake in hot oven, 400°. for 20 to 25 minutes.
Step 7
Serve hot.
