Sprinkle salt and pepper over steaks. Combine cracker crumbs, flour, baking powder and peppers. Whisk together milk and egg. Dredge steaks in crumbs; dip in milk and dredge again in crumbs. Heat oil in skillet. Fry steaks about five minutes a side until done. If you must keep warm on wire rack in low oven till ready to serve.
