Ingredients

2 cupsall-purpose flour

1 teaspoonsalt

1 teaspoonbaking powder

2 teaspoonsbaking soda

¾ cupunsweetened cocoa powder

2 cupssugar

1 cupvegetable oil

1 cupcoffee
cooled

1 cupmilk

2eggs
large

1 teaspoonvanilla
Ganache
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 f.

Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, sift together dry ingredients. Add oil, coffee and milk and mix at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and beat 2 more minutes. Expect batter to be thin.


Step 3
Pour into two 9" round pans. Bake for about 30 minutes. Cool in pans for about 15 minutes and then cool completely on racks.



Ganache
Step 4
In a small saucepan, heat the cream until bubbles appear around the edge; remove from the heat.

Step 5
Add the espresso powder and stir to dissolve.
Step 6
in a heat safe bowl pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let stand for 1 minute. Stir the chocolate until melted and smooth.

Step 7
Stir in the Kahlúa. Let the ganache stand at room temperature until firm enough to spread.
