Hawaiin Burger with Grilled Pineapple
When it comes to grilling, it’s all in the preparation and allowing enough time to let the flavors blend.

Ingredients
2 servings

1 poundground pork

½ cupred bell pepper
finely chopped

¼ cupgreen onion
finely chopped
2 tablespoonsGrill Mates Sweet & Smoky Rub
plus more for sprinkling

4fresh pineapple rings

4hamburger rolls
sweet Hawaiian-style or potato
Instructions
Step 1
Mix pork, bell pepper, onion and 2 tablespoons of the Rub in medium bowl until well blended. Shape into 4 patties. Refrigerate 30 minutes to allow flavors to blend. Sprinkle burger patties lightly on both sides with additional Rub.
Step 2
Grill burgers over medium heat for 4 to 6 minutes per side or until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160ºF). Meanwhile, sprinkle pineapple rings lightly on both sides with Rub. Grill alongside pork for 3 to 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly charred. Toast rolls on grill, cut-side down, about 30 seconds.
Step 3
Serve burgers on rolls with grilled pineapple and desired toppings and condiments.
