Instructions

Step 1
Dust the apple slices with the powdered sugar and set aside.
Step 2
Place the flour in a bowl; make a well in the center and beat in the eggs.
Step 3
Gradually add the Guinness and continue to beat until the mixture has the consistency of heavy cream.
Step 4
Add the sugar and nutmeg and allow the batter to stand for at least 1 hour.
Step 5
Add the melted butter to the batter and heat a little oil in a frying pan.
Step 6
Dip the apple slices in the batter and fry them on both sides until they are golden brown.
Step 7
Drain them on paper towels and serve sprin- kled with sugar.
