8 ouncecream cheese

¾ cuppowdered sugar

⅛ tspsalt

¼ cuploose leaf tea
earl gray

¾ cupheavy whipping cream

For the icing
Step 1
Steep loose or 3 tea bags of earl grey in heavy cream over night. Fridge mixing bowl and beaters. The next day strain the heavy whipping cream and beat until peaks form.


Step 2
In a seperate large bowl combine room temperature cream cheese, sugar, salt and vanilla. Beat until smooth, then fold in whipped cream.


For the cake
Step 3
The night before add 2 tsp lavender to 2 cups of granulated sugar. Let it sit covered and imbue overnight.
Step 4
Preheat oven to 325 f. In a large mixing bowl, sift together dry ingredients. Add oil, tea and milk and mix at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and beat 2 more minutes. Expect batter to be thin.




Step 5
Pour into two 9" round pans. Bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Cool in pans for about 15 minutes and then cool completely on racks.



Step 6
Spread icing between layers and over cake. Sprinkle sea salt flake around the edge of the cake.
