Instructions
Step 1
1. Bring first three ingredients to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat to medium; cook until syrupy and reduced to about 1 cup, 12-15 minutes

2. Split vanilla pod in half lengthwise and scrape seeds into wine mixture. Add pod to mixture
Step 3
3. Stir in berries
Step 4
4. Reduce heat to low and cook for 2 minutes
Step 5
5. Remove from heat and pour mixture into a bowl to cool completely
Step 6
Discard vanilla pod and thyme sprigs
Step 7
6. Garnish with thyme leaves if desired
